It was time that I chose to travel in February this time & my destination was AUSTRIA. A Country which is a blend of nature & history I was ready to explore.

Arrived in Vienna, chose to proceed further the same day to Salzburg. Made it my base to explore the region around. Salzburg known as the birthplace of Mozart – the music composer & its beautiful Hohensalzburg castle. I could not be more mesmerized by the view of the mountains around Zell Am See & a visit to a famous spa – The Tauern Spa in the region. The view of the snow caped mountains left me speechless. That walk on the lake side promenade was beauty at its best. A few hours train ride took me to HALLSTATT, another picturesque town with utmost tranquillity. Could not stop myself in exploring every bit of that beautiful town. Innsbruck, another town known for Swarovski Crystals. Chose to go a bit further to a ski village as it was wintertime & arrived at Seefeld. It was an unplanned visit but I must say a very wise decision taken to be there. I loved the serenity of that village with wonderful views of the mountains around, very active as all people were enjoying skiing. Seefeld is also knows for its BEER SPA.

Took a half day trip to Konigsee crossing Berchtesgaden known for its Salt mines. Could not wait to experience a beautiful boat ride to St. Bartholoma with a view enroute of the Sleeping Witch Mountain. Then finally arrived back in Vienna, a city with its hustle bustle and beautiful places to visit like the Schonbrunn Palace. There is much more to explore & it’s a must visit.
