It was time to explore a new destination & was wondering where to travel. Thought of visiting an offbeat destination hence finally it was decided & the place was ICELAND, a country one must visit atleast once in a lifetime. December was the month I chose to travel.
Reykjavik was a place where I made my base to explore various parts of the country. As soon as I arrived, this country gave me the most positive vibes that I had ever experienced. That place had its own charm, that view of the North Atlantic Ocean with its wind blowing by made me feel at heaven.
I travelled in the beginning of December hence the weather was highly unpredictable, stormy at times as well. I opted for sightseeing tours which were pre-booked from here itself – South Iceland with Waterfalls, the Black Sand beaches, Volcanoes, Glaciers & beautiful landscapes, Whale watching in the North Atlantic Ocean, Northern lights tour by boat & visit to the most famous – The Blue Lagoon Spa. The Blue Lagoon was the highlight of the entire trip – highly rejuvenating. One needs to loosen their pockets when it comes to a holiday in Iceland & it is simply worth it. Nightlife is quite active in Reykjavik – overall the place is highly safe even for solo travellers.
